Despite Kim Kardashian being the perfect example fo a star that uses the fame she has from her show to build her brand and then uses her brand to add to her income, she isn’t the most highly paid reality show.
Briefly.co.za decided to check out who is the highest paid of the stars who seemingly exist just to invite the world into their lives.
Simon Cowell, the creator of reality shows like X Factor, Pop Idol, and the Got Talent franchises is said to earn up to $382 million. His record had teen heartthrob band, One Direction signed to their label which also reportedly brought in about $69 million extra income for Cowell.
Kim Kardashian is worth $175 million which she has made from her makeup line, being executive producer of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and the monetisation of her Instagram posts.
Kim Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner is second in line after her daughter in the family’s earnings putting her in third place overall. She is worth $60 million, having earned it managing the careers of her five children Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie. She admitted during an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres show that she earns 10% of all their paychecks.
The youngest daughter of Kris Jenner has amassed $50 million already and is expected to be a billionaire by the age of 25 due to her makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics, which has been making millions of dollars since its launch in 2016.
There are rumours that the entertainment channel E! agreed with the family to an $80 million contract for the Keeping Up with the Kardashians spin-off Life With Kylie.
Katie Price has made approximately $52 million by moving from being a glamour model to a reality show star. She also has a successful line of clothes, books and numerous TV shows.
